RARE May 14, 1881 White Oaks New Mexico Territory cover mailed to Iowa. Nice postmark strike and unlisted in magenta ink. Billy the Kid frequented White Oaks often and this envelope is dated 2 months before he was killed, thus ending the Lincoln County War. Please review photos for condition. Staining in back where flap meets envelope. Opened at right edge, no contents. Payment due within 3 days of auction close
