The authors carry an open mind on this subject as academic historians we go with the documented facts , period ,just review our work at this site and see for yourself But , however we both have experience, first hand in this subject. Seems to us the typical paranormal investigation goes like this, “Hey this place is reported to be haunted, we get out equipment over there and expect for some spirit to pop up and say hi.” The investigators have no personal link to anyone there and no idea whom the people were , their stories, their names, nothing And simply want to capture evidence of paranormal occurrences other that an orb or electric spike or temperature change and the like , that’s about all there is to current investigation output.
Seems to the authors the aim should be to honor these people. Say their names , play music they liked , In the course of creating this site the authors have come to know the families of hundreds of residents from back in history. All lost to time plus we are directly related to 40 people resting here. We are going to change that . Take Edwin Bonnell for instance, Been laying here in this forlorn ground for almost 130 years. No family visits in last 70 years Just an occasional tourist or some passing by history or ghost hunter person, or the ground keeper his name not said for 100 years by anyone that knows anything about him Dear reader if you were him would you show yourself , hell no.
Our plan will include:
- Possibly erecting the same raised platform used there back then we have the pics
- First off we honor David l Jackson Whom caretook this place for many years out of love of those resting here
- Then roll call of influential residents
- Then roll call of civil war veterans, With red white blue bunting just like the Kearny post did
- Authors will be on site Inter ashes from old timers in our families
- Bringing artifacts used by actual family members things they will recognize like cups, plates window paines etc and placing on grave
- Roll call of all internees with period correct music
- Special section on miners who lost their lives there special focus on Robert Lee
- And on more modern people now departed that gave a crap about White Oaks and lay here now
- Installing missing markers of our family members Queen, Wood, Warden, and Lee.
It is not going to be religious as that has nothing to do with what the authors are going to do. We do not care if this event solicits a paranormal response or not , but if it does we want it recorded to present once and for all irrefutable evidence. The authors believe if there is such a thing as paranormal it will happen at this event. The authors do not care what anyone says that is negative. We said we were going to produce the definitive history of white oaks , fact based. Unassailable and we have done that by ourselves with no help. Rest assured we are going to bring the forgotten spirits in Cedarvale back in the sun for at least a brief moment in time
