This retangle area was plotted out in 1885 and represents Precinct Eight White Oaks. It contains 80.11 acres according to the 1885 patent. I checked on Sidwell’s Portico and it shows the retangle at 80 acres also, so I know with much certainty this is it. Other additions were added later to the township, kemptons 1st addition and 2nd, Buckhorn Addition, City Lode Addition, Collier’s 1st Addition.
In the patent it describes 4 cornerstones laid out representing A, B, C, and D in the drawing above.
Cornerstone A made from Sandstone 24 X 15 X 6 and marked “WO on Southwest side”
Location: about 300 feet Northeast of the bridge
